2016 VICA Scholarship Award Recipients
Each year, the Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) Foundation offers scholarships to outstanding local students with a demonstrated interest in business.
MELVYN A. KOHN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The VICA Foundation is awarding a $500 scholarship to a student attending one of the following high schools or primary education institutions:
El Camino Real Charter High School
Granada Hills Charter High School
Harvard-Westlake School
The Buckley School
Submit completed applications to VICA Vice President Jessica Yasukochi at Jessica@vica.com. The application deadline is November 3, 2017. Click here to download this year's application.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must show an interest in the business community through extracurricular and academic involvement
Attend one of the aforementioned schools
Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
Submit a 400-500 word essay on the provided prompt
Must be a senior with an expected graduation in 2018
The student selected must attend VICA’s Annual Meeting on December 8, 2017, to receive the scholarship. The will be held at the Warner Center Marriott from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two free tickets will be provided for the student to attend.
MARVIN R. SELTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The VICA Foundation is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a full-time undergraduate student attending one of the following universities or colleges:
Cal Lutheran
Concorde Career College
CSUN
College of the Canyons
Glendale Community College
Los Angeles Valley College
Mission College
Pepperdine University
Pierce College
UCLA
University of Phoenix
University of Redlands
Woodbury University

Attend one of the aforementioned universities or colleges
Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
Submit a 400-500 word essay on the provided prompt
Submit a resume with the application
The student selected must attend VICA’s Annual Meeting on December 8, 2017, to receive the scholarship. The event will be held at the Warner Center Marriott from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two free tickets will be provided for the student to attend.
